NFR make big investment in National Junior Finals Rodeo

The NFR (National Finals Rodeo) make big investment for the future of the 2016 Junior NFR (National Finals Rodeo) to be held in Las Vegas, from December 1 to December 5, 2016. The NJFR (National Junior Finals Rodeo) is the only junior rodeo sponsored with the National Finals Rodeo (NFR), with junior competing in Bull Riding, Barrel Racing, Bareback Riding, Tie Down Roping & Team Roping. Huntley Project Junior High School’s VII grade student, Worden who qualified at 66th in the competition with his third average finish in Rock Springs at the Mountain States Regional Finals.

Montgomery has been involve all his life for rodeoing, ranching, riding horses. In this summer he make his first try with riding bareback horses. Montgomery The twelve years boy started his championship win journey at the Yuba City, California. He was also the Shakespeare Ranch Rodeo Champion, the Weaverville Rodeo Champion, Daly City, Cow Palace Champion, California. These wins ranked 4th Montgomery in the Wild West Buckers also helping him to qualify for the Mountain States Regional Finals in Rock Springs events, Wyoming. The National Finals Rodeo display PRCA’s top fifteen super performance to gain prize money in each event as they race with against for the world title. The National Finals Rodeo is scheduled each year in the 1st week of December and this year of 2016 is schedule to 1st December to 10th December, at the Thomas & Mack Center, Las Vegas, Nevada, United States. The NFR (National Finals Rodeo), popularly known as the “Super Bowl of Rodeo,” is a world championship title event held annually by the PRCA. Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association organized the National Finals Rodeo in 1958 in order to find the world champion in each of rodeo’s 7 main events such as Bull Riding, Steer Wrestling, Barrel Racing, Bareback Riding, Tie Down Roping & Team Roping. The world championship for Steer Roping held separately from regular National Finals Rodeo. The first National Finals Rodeo was held in Dallas in 1959 & followed by at that venue till 1961. But Los Angels Hosted from 1962 to 1964.

After then Oklahoma City successfully bid in 1964 to be the host city. In 1965 the first National Finals Rodeo attract 47,027 fans. Las Vegas bid for the NFR in 1984 . Therefore the Oklahoma City Council decided to build a new $30 million arena at Fairgrounds, But the Las Vegas won the bid. Since 1985 the National Finals Rodeo has been held in the Thomas & Mack Center, Las Vegas. The National Finals Rodeo has become Thomas & Mack Center arena’s biggest events, gathering more than 170,000 fans in the ten-day event.

Year of 2001 a great sponsorship deal was signed & Wrangler became the 1st title sponsor of the NFR. The deal, part of the PRCA’s on going effort to develop professional rodeo to a new level. Again Oklahoma City has bid to return the National Finals Rodeo to Oklahoma, but is always outbid by Las Vegas. In 2011 Oklahoma was the host city of the RNCFR (PRCA’s semi-pro series). This was a remarkable step for the crowds exist in Oklahoma, effort to bring the National Finals Rodeo back when Las Vegas scheduled to end in 2014.
